This watercolor picks up motifs and structures from my trip to Cuba. Through abstraction, I draw from my experience, distilling out narrative, to explore elements that express both the individual spirit and timelessness of the moment.
I have lived and worked in New York City since 1979 and also have visited Italy regularly throughout the years. My experience of traveling to different countries, examining and absorbing the visuals, underlies my personal approach to landscape style and imagery. My work has been exhibited in numerous shows since the 1980s in New York and in Europe. My work is also featured in two monographs published by Editorial Grupo Pandora of Sevilla. Currently, I exhibit at Medialia Gallery, Sideshow, and Figureworks, among others.
