Elias Necol Melad was born and raised in rural New Hampshire. After receiving his BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art, he moved to Brooklyn, NY to pursue his MFA at Brooklyn College, studying under Archie Rand, Vito Acconci and Keith Mayerson. Recent shows include 2011's Index Festival in New York, and being recently featured at the 2012 Fountain Art Fair in New York, shown by Cheap & Plastique. He continues to live and work in Brooklyn, NY.
