This painting is a way to welcome all to the tradition I grew up with as a Tibetan. I wanted to focus on the Derkha, which is composed of varying types of khapse (Tibetan pastry) which are in a pile meant for the shrine. The khapse is an absolute requirement in the celebration of Losar (Tibetan New Year).
