Watercolour and gouache on paper
Fervour is part of an ongoing series of paintings that act as a dialogue with the great painter Martin Johnson Heade, a naturalist who’s enduring obsession with hummingbirds and orchids was described by himself as a form of monomania.
Adam Batchelor is an artist from Suffolk, UK. His artwork is a modern interpretation of naturalist painting, focusing on our perception of nature. He currently works in watercolor, painting his animals life size on paper in the same vein of the great naturalist painters. Through narrative, perception and multiple perspectives, his work explores a way to bring us closer to nature.
