Golden Boy is the artist's cousin’s son who he met on his return to Tibet after 21 years exile. To the artist, he symbolises Tibet’s future. It may be difficult for him to get a good education, but at his age he has a pure heart, and when the artist looks at him he feels hope.
Kunchok Gyaltsen was born and grew up in a nomad family in Amdo, eastern Tibet. He left his homeland in the ‘90s and is now based in the Blue Mountains in Australia with his wife and two children.RETURN TO CATALOG
