Oil paint on Canvas.
This piece is a combination of the lake shore reimagined - and though a reflection in a photograph, my studio window appeared in the lake. The image has now become a contradiction for me that I enjoy.
For many years, I concentrated on traditional landscape, using my photographs and sketches as the basis for my work. Within the last 5 years, while I became an Artist in Residence at East Harlem’s Carter Burden/ L. Covello, I have become obsessed with Mono-Type Printing and I am using some of my printing techniques in my oil painting, which is creating a totally different way to express my vision in oil paint.
