Daniel Kingery is an artist, musician, filmmaker and writer who has been living in Harlem since 2013 and working in the Bronx in 2014. He has been involved with the South Bronx Artists’ Coalition since 2018. Kingery, who lived in Berlin from 2001-2013, has exhibited and performed widely in Europe and the United States, including at SLA307 and IPCNY in New York. He curated large-scale exhibitions and performances at Kunsthalle Exnernergasse in Vienna and Tape and Autocenter in Berlin. In 2013-14 Kingery was co-director/ curator of Kunsthalle Galapagos/ Kunsthalle Projects in DUMBO, Brooklyn. He co-founded Exiles, in Berlin, which produced a book and exhibitions, concerts and performances at Mudd Club 2003-2004. He received two filmmaking grants from the Universität der Künste in Berlin in 2010. He graduated from the University of Chicago in 2001 and attended the Universität der Künste in the class of Leiko Ikemura 2002-2004.
