Nomads in Iran are disappearing. Over the last century, their populaton has been reduced to a minimum. From 5 million a hundred years ago, only 1.5 million people are still resisting the sedentary policies imposed by various governments, modernization, literacy and climate conditions. A resistance they often pay at a high price.
Yet despite the increasing challenges of traditional nomadic life, a minority still refuse to give it up.
