FotoEvidence uses photography to draw attention to violations of human rights. We work in collaboration with photographers and advocacy organizations to create awareness and inspire action to address social injustice. To do this, we publish and donate books, mount exhibits and do presentations around the world. Our work also supports the careers of photographers working in the humanistic tradition. Your support will allow this work to continue.
The annual FotoEvidence Book Award with World Press Photo recognizes a documentary photographer whose project
demonstrates courage and commitment in addressing a violation of human rights, a significant injustice or an assault
on human dignity. The selected project is published as part of a series of FotoEvidence books dedicated to long-form
projects of documentary photographers working in the humanistic tradition.
The annua FotoEvidence W Award is devoted to engaged women photographers who want to tell personal stories in the form of a photo book. Through their lenses women can shape the world differently and we want to give them this chance.
