Part of a larger series of Arachnae, this abstracted spider explores the creature and its cultural significiance. While the spider often inspires phobic reactions, it also serves as a  symbol and embodiment of the protector and creator of networks. 

Artist Bio: Born in Athens, Aristides is a visual artist based in the Bronx who has attended several residencies and exhibited in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bronx Museum, and Duke University among others.

He also serves as an Advisor to the gallery.
