This image of a Grizzly Bear Sow and her second year cub was taken in Yellowstone National Park. The cub was somewhat timid, always standing behind Mom as a bore (male grizzly) was in the area. Eventually the bore ran the cub off in order to court his mom. The cub ran quite a ways off but still kept looking at his mother. It must be hard transition to leave mom after only two years, and we felt very sad for him.
