A Bob Boomer Wood Carved Sculpture called "Mountain Mother" Wooden sculpture depicting a Native American mother embracing her child standing next to a piece of pottery, perched atop a stone and wood base. Bob has spent his lifetime carving sculptures in the wood medium. His unique sculptures are produced from manzanita and weathered cedar that he found near his home in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. Each piece is carved from the unformed wood taking on distinct characteristics as Boomer sculpts with the wood rather than against it. This balance with nature is evident in the pieces he creates.
