"Lil' L" Painting by Ron Burns

Donor: Ashley Bradley
value $1,550

"Lil' L" is a limited edition Giclee on canvas, painted by Ron Burns, measuring 18" x 22.75". This edition is 15 / 95 & was produced in 2007. "Lil' L" is a fun, colorful portrait of a beagle that was rescued while wondering lost in the desert heat. Her look upwards shows her knowing & intelligent glance as if she's ready to start a conversation. "Lil' L" is a sweet, lively & curious companion who only has eyes for you. Artist Bio: A painter of boldly colored, semi abstract animals, Ron was the artist-in-residence for the United States Humane Society. After moving to Sedona, AZ in 1987 with his family, Ron began focusing on painting and creating portraits of the family dogs. After his initial series of paintings of his own “kids”, he started listing animal shelters and taking photos of other dogs and cats to use as models. After selling portraits of these images, Ron returned a percentage of the proceeds back to support the shelters which led to his eventual appointment by the Humane Society.
