Jim is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Later studies in Urban Planning and Architecture, and a long career in fine design and fine press publishing, inspired a passion for the arts that merged with Jim's tech background to create two pioneering web portals: Colophon Page for limited edition books and PhotoArts for fine art photography.
PhotoArts.com conducted the first online fine art photography auction in 1998! The ground-breaking online auction software, developed under Jim's direction, evolved into a full-fledged platform for online fundraising, and BenefitEvents.com was born.
