Udondian’s work is driven by her interest in textiles and the potential for clothing to shape identity, informed by the histories and tacit meanings embedded in everyday materials. She engages with repurposed material to investigate how fundamental changes in fabric can affect one’s perception of identity. Udondian received an MFA from Columbia University, NY and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, US in 2016 and a BA in painting from University of Uyo, Nigeria in 2004. She has had international exhibitions at Lagos, Venice, New York, United Kingdom,etc. Artist Residencies include Fine Arts Work Center, Provincetown; Fondazione di Venezie, Venice; Bagfactory Studios, Johanesburg. She lives and works between Lagos and New York
