"Live like an Italian for a fortnight in the charming Umbrian town of Spello. This two-bedroom pied-ŕ-terre, is nestled in the ancient and historic heart of this hill town, well known for its arched stone walkways, hanging flowerpots, and some of Italy’s best preserved city walls, many of them Roman, some medieval. Spend your days walking through the picturesque streets and visiting numerous churches or venture outside the city walls to local olive groves—Spello’s famous olive harvest begins at the end of October. Or, simply relax on the apartment’s gorgeous terrace that boasts a picture-postcard view of the Umbrian valley. You can also easily explore, by train or rental car, nearby Assisi, Terni, Trevi,Spoleto, and Perugia, one of the best preserved Italian towns replete with museums, galleries, and churches.
